‘Andrew Potton gave me away at my wedding, as such he wrote the ‘father of the bride’ speech. No easy task as a) Andy is somewhat younger than me and b) he is not (to my knowledge at least) a father! That said, he managed to write one of the best structured, wittiest, and moving speeches many people had heard.
Andy has the capacity to write for both the most joyful and indeed the most sombre of occasions, and I have had the pleasure of hearing him speak at both.
